Is Salehoo a scam? You be the judge.

As is the case with any product or service garnering attention on the internet, there will always be a plethora of folks who love the product or service, and of course, many who hate it. Salehoo is no exception.

A simple online search on Salehoo will bring up all kinds of websites about this wholesale and drop ship directory website, but, how can you know which ones to believe? Some folks say Salehoo is a scam, others think it is the best thing to come along since the invention of the automobile. How do you know who to believe? Well, I have found over the course of many years of online research, you can almost never tell. Probably not the answer you wanted, but it is the truth. Let me give you an example.

Let’s say someone joins Salehoo. They research a company that offers products they want to sell. They buy some of the products, list them on ebay, and…they don’t sell. Now, this person has paid a fee to join Salehoo. They have also invested hundreds, if not thousands of dollars purchasing products to sell, and now, they are out all that money. Sure, they have a right to be upset, but in this case, no at Salehoo. Salehoo, is a directory site. Which means it lists companies. It does NOT sell products. That has to be brought out upfront. I am not saying Salehoo is good or bad, I am just saying you can’t get mad at them because your product didn’t sell. Product research is the only thing that will prevent this from happening. If you bought a product at too high a price to resell…well, that is your fault, plain and simple. IN addition, if you have a problem with a company that is listed on Salehoo, again, I think they are not the ones to yell at.

If you hire a plumber that doesn’t perform, do you then attack the yellow pages because that is where you found the plumber? No, of course not. Now, let’s look at the opposite scenario. Someone joins Salehoo, does research, finds a product, orders a shipment, and sells them at a profit. Now you have someone who is extremely happy with Salehoo. The result? Salehoo is not directly responsible for EITHER scenario. They provided information for members to use to obtain a result. The result, either positive or negative, has more to do with the individual and their business process than it does with Salehoo.

Now, having only researched Salehoo for a short time, I cannot attest to the overall quality of the business itself. It does seem that their website provides what it promises too though. The only way to know for sure is to spend time perusing all the features of the website. After a few hours of research, it all seems to be there.

Another claim I have seen made is that Salehoo will threaten to sue anyone who posts a negative review about the company. Again, I cannot refute this, as it is has not been my experience. What I WILL say is, the internet provides a voice to a lot of people. Just about anyone can say anything and get it out to thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of ears. If Salehoo believes that a member is spreading false information or twisting the facts of an experience and then speaking negatively in a public forum, then Salehoo would have a right to defend itself.

So, is Salehoo a scam? They offer information for a fee. As far as I can tell, the info they offer is on the site. That has been my experience. As always, you must decide for yourself.

Pros and Cons of Salehoo, an internet wholesaler resource

Pros of Salehoo:

Extensive lists of wholesalers and drop shippers

Description and rating for each company listed is helpful in making a decision

Educational content provided can help new members and experienced sales people increase their chances of success

Interactive forum allows members to communicate with each other

Membership fee is reasonable and is for lifetime, so no monthly membership dues

While the features above were ones I like, you would have to check it out for yourself. There are always differing opinions, and the format and content provided may or may not be what you are looking for.

Cons of Salehoo:

Fee based membership (while the cost is reasonable, you can still find companies to deal with for free)

Company ratings-some have stars next to their names rating the company, but many are not rated at all

You can’t actually buy the products through Salehoo; it only provides info of companies you can buy from. Some of those companies charge a fee to allow you to see their product line

Overall, Salehoo provides a lot of information. The time you save in going here versus simply searching individually online can certainly be worth the investment if you lock into a relationship with a good company. While a company may have gotten a decent rating on Salehoo, there is no guarantee that your experience will be the same. Finding profitable products to sell can certainly make you money, but you still must invest time and energy in the process, and Salehoo may be a helpful tool to help some in that process.

What’s included in Salehoo’s membership?

In today’s business scenario finding industry partners such as good wholesale suppliers is almost as difficult as finding loyal customers. This is because just as you are looking to make profits so are they and often when business goals clash there is disastrous game of one-upmanship follows. So how do you avoid this?

Well the key lies in not only getting the right wholesale suppliers but also maintaining a good relationship with them. So let us get to the criteria that you should set for selecting a wholesale supplier, without further delay.

When you are starting off with the task of selecting a wholesale supplier, you will be well advised to remember that the supplier is the life-blood of your business. This is true irrespective of whether you are into manufacturing or retail.

Your shortlist should ideally consist of local suppliers. If there is a dearth of them in your area then you may look forward to suppliers who might be based a bit further from your business establishment. This is necessary because a local supplier can ensure quick delivery and lesser transport costs added to the total expenses that you incur.

You may also look at those wholesale suppliers who have a proven track record in the business. Thus you can actually rely on them to be the pillars of success for your business. This is important because if the supplier fails you then your business collapses as customers won’t be waiting for your excuses. Another very important criterion should be the prices that they are quoting for the material to be supplied and the peripheral services. You have to know the ‘going rates’ and only then can you bargain for the best deal. But do remember not to haggle too much with a supplier who you think is the one you need to get hold of. In the process you should also keep in mind their interests and try not to project yourself as a ‘shark.’

When you have zoomed in on potential supply-partners you need to go over the fine print thoroughly. This means that the agreement should include mutually consented policies regarding return of goods, damaged goods, credit periods, billing cycles and interest on accrued payments. This will ensure that there are no loopholes once the deal is inked.

And finally when you have started to do business with your chosen wholesale suppliers, you may want to take good care of your ties with them. This may need you to include that ‘human touch’ in business dealings. So in addition to adhering to your contractual bindings, you may want to do little things that might make them feel ‘important’. For example you might try calling them up once in a while just to know how they are doing and keeping the business out of the conversation.

The advantage of building a good rapport with suppliers is that you can then expect them to go that ‘extra mile’ for you and can think of asking for a favor or two when times are tough.

Finally, online directories like Salehoo can assist you greatly in your search for the right wholesale suppliers. At Salehoo you can for a minimal fee, get access to suppliers from across the globe and even share and view feedback about them. So you may want to visit Salehoo to find the best wholesale suppliers for your business.

Are you a highly qualified IT worker but jobless? Or do you want to start a new business but don’t have enough money to invest? If that be the case, you can consider using a dropshipper to make money. But why use dropshipper? Those who are not familiar with the term, need to first know what dropshippers are.

Dropshippers are companies which supply goods to you at a cheap price. Then these products are sold online by you. If a customer buys any item from you, you only have to order it from the dropshipper who will, in turn, ship the goods to your customer.

Why use dropshippers? If you are using a dropshipper, you save on the traveling expenses. Keeping in view the rising costs of motor fuel nowadays, this saving is quite significant. You only have to sit in front of the computer terminal and do your business. You should also keep in mind that due to the same reason mentioned above; even the customers want to cut down on their traveling expenses. That is the reason why more and more people are turning to the Internet to do their shopping. In fact, if you look around, you will find many people among your relatives or friends itself who do online shopping. So, you should not face any dearth of demand of your goods. In this regard, it is suggested that you keep a watchful eye on the demand and supply gap, which is the deciding factor behind the price at which you will sell the goods and which will hence have an affect on the profit margin as well. Also, if you can afford it, buy the products in huge chunks at wholesale rate. That should ensure a better margin on your sell.

Another important advantage of using dropshippers is that you are not required to keep the real stock. You are also spared of the hassle of shipping the goods to the buyers. The dropshipper takes care of all these things. This is how it is done. You are required to send the bidder’s name and address and the payment along with the shipping charges to the dropshipper. On receiving the payment and the details of the bidder, the dropshipper delivers the goods to the bidder. Thus you see, only having an eBay account and uploading pictures of the products which you wish to sell and of course, adequate funds, you can carry out the business easily.

Now that you know why use dropshipper, what is left now to do is finding a proper dropshipper who deals in the goods that you wish to sell. You can conduct a thorough research to find a dropshipper who can offer you the most competitive prices. It is recommended that you visit Salehoo’s website to conduct the research as it provides a wide variety of dropshippers. You may also download Salehoo software on your PC to receive automatic alerts which can aid your search for the best wholesale prices on eBay. Now, the stage is all set for you to start your business.

When involved in any business it’s really important to make sure whomever you are dealing with really is legit and isn’t just in it to rip you off, take your money and run! The same goes with drop shippers, you really need to make sure that they are going to be a pro for you and not a con. See, drop shippers are used so that you the seller can sell products to people but not have to actually stock the merchandise at hand. However you choose the dropshipper you want to go with, you will always find positives and negatives; it’s just a fact of life and no one company is perfect. If your not sure how to find who would be the best company for you to use, or who is “considered” one of the top drop shippers you might want to continue reading below for some tips on how to find drop shippers, reviews, and what people are saying about these companies.

Search Engines -
Believe it or not, search engines like Google and Yahoo can easily be used in order to find information about companies (including reviews). Simply enter in Drop Shipping Companies or the specific company your considering and you should be provided with a fair amount of information about the company. Note: Just because a dropshipper is HIGH in the search engine results or has a featured ad; doesn’t mean they are legit. Remember, people buy ad space on Google, so placement doesn’t necessarily mean legit or not legit!

Forums -
You can easily go on almost any forum today and find an area for auction sites, working online or more specifically; eBay. You can find all kinds of people asking all kinds of questions about drop shippers and other information relevant to dropshipping such as guides, reviews, and feedback!

Directories -
If you want to get started quickly with finding legit drop shippers, it’s a good idea to check out some of the popular directories out there. This is pretty risk free and it’s definitely the safest way of going about something like this. To gain access to a directory such as this, you will have to pat a membership fee but, if you are really serious about starting a business online or selling online the small fee you do have to pay really shouldn’t be problem for you cost wise. Remember, to make a profit you gotta spend a few bucks!

Are you thinking about starting your own e-commerce small business from home? Did you know that this is one of the most popular and successful ways to make money? It’s true! This is one of those dream jobs because if you actually become successful at it you could just as well quit your boring 9-5 and do this from home full-time while making really incredible money! All you need to do is put up a list of products that you are selling on your web site, a small description and the price. These would be enough to make the products roll out to the buyers. The only problem you might face, is stocking and storing ALL those items. If you think about it, most websites sell thousands of items on one website and they need tens of thousands of each of those items. I don’t know about you, but I don’t own a warehouse that big (or any warehouse for that matter)! Don’t fret! There actually is a way you can go about having your business but not actually dealing with the annoyance of having to keep the product, this is where drop shippers come in! What is a dropshipper?

It means that you do not purchase products unless you find customers to sell them! So here is how it works; you keep products displayed on your Internet site and the moment you get a sale, contact a dropshipper (the middleman) and they would make sure that the product reaches your customers address. Pretty simple stuff here! And you could start making thousands of dollars per month steadily making more and more each month! Obviously one of the nice things about drop shippers I the fact that you don’t have to keep inventory, but another incredible positive is that it costs very little capital to start something like this up! So, if you need money now, and you think something like this would be interesting to you and maybe a little fun, but you don’t have thousands of dollars to start a business, try e-commerce dropshipping instead! Hey, even if you don’t want to start an e-commerce site, you can also sell items on eBay, still not have to “pack in” any products and still make a hefty profit!

Look for sites such as Salehoo, Doba, Shopster, and World Wide Brands, these should give you plenty of information as well as prices, comparisons and products they offer!
